I'm about to do that to mine, could my problem be that the OD servo went out? Or is mine a band problem, I'm sure that almost everyone has heard me complaining here lately about my ****ty AOD.

Take it to a transmission shop and get a estimate of the problem, thats what i did my OD band has been slipping for almost a year now i just use overdrive to maintain speed but atleast get it checked out. Mine is not a daily driver iether though I dont think I put 1k miles on it yet.
