Default is this a good motor.

Hey I am in the planning stages of purchasing and modifying my daily driver. I have been thinking about getting this motor what do u guys think about this company and its quality. It is a few thousand over what i wanted to spend but it is fuel injected with almost everything forged. Does anybody think it might be a little pricy for what I would get. It will be going in a SN-95 GT body and I was going to upgrade:

1.)the suspension with a= new shocks, springs, k-members, and A-arms. (tell me if i would need more than that)

2.)axles=unknown yet

3.)gears=3.73(I think, but would there be a better gear for this motor and gas mileage)

4.)transmission= (manual) TKO 600 w/ .64 overdrive

5.)clutch= Kevlar King Cobra Clutch

6.) chassis= a cage from agent 47 (sports model)

7.)brakes= brembo cross-drilled brakes

8.)tires= Nitto 555 (unknown dimensions)

I would be doing #1-5 at the same time I am going to be installing the motor. #6-8 will probably be installed sometime around christmas of this year.

I didnt see the link so i kept scrolling down and saw the comment on howyou can do so much more wih 13k. So I scrolled up found the link looked at the price, laughed and closed the window. Can I ask you WTF are you thinking???? Listen to scwindty and everyone else who is AGAINST that motor. The reason the price is so high is because of the name they are PUTTING to it the whole ELEANOR. Forget that. Please do not buy that engine. With 13k you can turbo a engine like schwindty said and get a HELLLLLLLL of a lot more HP.

first off i see a lot of problems with the way that motor is built like chrome moly rings and push rods, have you ever seen a cylinder bore with chrome moly rings i dont suggest them. i could build a bad *** 347 for a lot cheeper that would kill that thing.

If you wanted to buy a retro look, and not do any work yourself, go ahead and overpay them. I bet I can hang with the power of that engine with mine, and I am less than $7k into it with lots of other upgrades.

if ur going to get a k-member spend a little bit more and buy the whole kit that way u get the full benefit out it. then i would recommend buying some upper and lower control arms to help put the power to the ground
