Default Belt sizing help.

Hey everyone,

I am about to put on my Turbo Kit but I need to eliminate the smog pump. Does anybody know what size the belt needs to be? All pullies will remain in stock location just taking out smog pump. Thanx for any help.

Just ask for the mustang with no A/C, thats if you actually still have your a/c it will eliminate the smog instead of a/c

Are you sure about that because I always that the Smog Pump sat a little farther away than any of the other pullies therefore reducing the belt size more that if I deleted the A/C. I'll check it out though. Thanks for the help.

^^^^^ Not true. Yeah i would find out but if anything, i had to do the same thing, just take string and put around your pully set up (how ever it might be) just like the belt would sit and match the ends tight. Then take a measurement with a tape measure from one end to the other. take that measurement to a part store and they should be able to get the right size.
If not then tape the two ends togeather to make a belt like circle and just play with belts untill you get one thats a little shorter than your string. Its ok to be a little short becasue your tenchiner should pick it up

Well I know you also have to compensate for the deflection in the belt. I figured I would do the string thing and add about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Thanks for the help.

Im using the 83.5 inch on mine with the tensioner almost maxed out, so you can use that belt or one size bigger.
the part number is 835k6

HP Performance. The quality of the parts is Superb but getting in contact with the company is some what of a pain. They are really nice but hard to get a hold of. When I put it on I'm gonna have someone video tape it and I'll post it so everyone that thinks about buying it will know what they are in go with installation.
