I am going to buy this intake if I can get some one that is 100% sure that it is not a stock 5.0HO intake manifold and it is in fact a GT40 intake manifold. I would also like to know if this intake will out perform the cobra or match it or free up less power.

its a gt40 cause the ports on the intake are stagered and not in a straight line.

Now will this intake outperform the cobra, match it, or fall below it? I think that it'll be about the same, just the power is up top and that's where most of my power is anyways.

dude that is a stocker...lower intakes for the cobra/gt40 are really truck lowers..
if you want a intake i'll sell ya mine for $300 (rpm)

So if that's not the explorer GT40 why is the intake different than the one on my 5.0?

I would go with the intake Grabbem88 has. but that intake on E-bay is a explore intake it uses the same staggerd port as a Cobra or a GT40 lower and the upper is it own.But it flows about the same as the cobra or GT-40.A turck lower(Right side) looks like this the one beside the truck is a stock 5.0 intake lower.the intake Grabbem has can make more power stock for stock then the cobra or gt-40 stuff
