i dont think you need to jump the gun on a new motor yet. if you arent getting water in the oil, it might not be more than just some head gaskets

you could be, if the smoke is really white/light gray it could be, now check your rad really good if it bubbles big time thats a head gasket, someone said that you can blow a head gasket on the exhaust side only but i dont see how, i would pull the heads off and see what they look like, dont rip the gasket that will tell you where it was leaking, the head/heads may be warped, just check them out first and we will go from there.

i had one of our drunk freinds pick us up.........2hrs later.


so will my heads be salvagable???that's 1400 bones down the drain if they are.

An intake manifold gasket will do the same thing. And the coolant could smell a little gassy from this.

hmmm i guess i need to do some test before i tear it down...but i think when i shut it off,and then tried to start it...it hydro locked on me...then it started up..it still looks like i'm gonna have to tear down evrything,and make sure my pistons are ok.

your pistons should be ok. if something happend to them it would not run at all.

well that hydro lock scared the sh*t out of me bud..
sad thing is my neglect,cause i think i have a had a blown hg for a long time...gassy smell in radiator for a long time.oil residue in my rad,and breathers(i got two).
