Hmm well that seems resonable and I figured that it would matter that all other parts are up to par. So your basically telling that the stock cam is going to be the best on a stock engine that only has exhaust and gt40 heads?
You would see minimal gains with anything else. If your wallet is fat, get a new custom one. If it's skinny, run it and enjoy what you have.

my buddy put an ecam in his, has just a gear, headers, and cold air. and my stock 85 with a gear, and exhaust used to blow it away.

Some dragracing but vary rarely mostly for crusing around. This is not my main ride so I can have it parked to work on it, but I do enjoy driving it to work everynow and then.

Stock, 90 5.0 H.O. cam spec's are like this,276 intake, 266 exhuast. Lift on both sides,,278 (lobe)
do .278X1.6 (rocker ratio) and theres the lift. Not bad really. Way aheady of the Bowtie kids and what they had in '90.......
