Hi,

MAC makes a good product, and so does Proform, in fact they are almost identical. If you are interested in a set of Proform upper and lower control arms, I can offer them to you for $174.99 shipped to your door. Here is a link to the site for more information:
Proform 79-98 Upper and Lower Heavy Duty Control Arms

Let me know if you have any questions. As far as the filter goes, that is usually a result of dusty roads and or living on a dirt road. Hope to hear from you soon.

I just figured that with the filter in the fender it would get really dirty really fast...i've had some MAJOR problems with my MAF sensor being Dirty and cause some bad detonation...leans the car out hardcore...i heard that the K&N filter oil can actually get sucked through the filter if u soak it to much and screw the sensor up. I didn't know if there was a better setup instead of the Fenderwell kit. I had to retard my timing alot to stop the detenation..i have no idea what the timing is at now...(longstory)

You have to let the filter dry out a bit before you put it back on your car. And K&N has had some complaints about letting dirt and such into the engine and causing problems.

i have the MAC CAI, headers and h-pipe... all good stuff, good quality and not too expensive, i wouldn't hesitate getting the ULCA from them, pro seems to have some great stuff at great prices too, always nice to do business with someone you can actually talk to on the forum. never had a problem with the filter yet, i will have to check though before i get it back out in a couple months (winter sucks).

I've neve had trouble with my MAC stuff, I have the CAI and a catback from them and they are both great. The one thing I've heard tons of people complain about is MAC headers after you've used them. The individual flanges warp sometimes under the heat and they are a serious pain to put back on if you need to take them off for some reason. I think thir ULCA would be a good choice though.
