Default Pulled my Codes now what

I have an 87 GT that is very hard to start when cold. When it does crank it runs like it is starving for fuel. I pulled the codes and I got a 34 and an 82. Any ideas on what these codes mean, or what I should do nowh? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated since I'm in a small town with a very limited supply quality mechanics and it will not run well enough to take to another town. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Try google. Type in 1986 mustang GT trouble codes along with the codes you received see if it gives you anything.

(R) = Engine Running test (M) = Memory code (O)=Key On Engine Off test

34
(R) EVP - EGR did not respond properly during test - EVP
(O,R,M) EVR - EVP sensor is/was high - EVR
(O,R,M) PFE - PFE sensor is/was out of range - PFE

82
AIRB solenoid - Solenoids and Air Injection

hope this helps

By any chance have you bypassed your air pump. If you have then you will though code 82.

unplug your egr and see if it will start, you will have a check engine light on from the egr beaing unpluged.

Yes my smog pump has been removed by the previous owner. I'm thinking I should remove the EGR too, is this correct. Ok now that I know about the code 82, what should I do about the 34???

Can the thermactor air bypass be removed? Is this still part of the smog system?
