electric fan?
just bought a 89 mustang gt, it has electric fan and aluminum radiator the fan is wired to the battery and runs all the time keeping the temp down. Is this a problem? If so what do i need to do to correct this problem? thanks for your help.

RE: electric fan?
also you can go to the auto parts and tell them you need a fan relay harness tell them you want the fan to come on at 175 degrees they may have a adjustable relay to. also like marx91 said put a switch in to so if something happens with your relay you can tun it on and off.

RE: electric fan?
Its only a problem if you are struggling to power a lot of things at once and you don't have an upgraded alternator. It will not do any harm leaving it on all the time. I woul reccoment putting a fuse inline just in case. A friend fried his fan motor going through a puddle a little too fast because he didn't have a relay.
