Default Whats wrong with the Supercharger??

This SC has been on eBay for a long time, And I was wondering why its priced so low?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-...ayphotohosting

Is there somthing wrong with PowerDyne products? Is it a waste of money? Is it capable of running 8-9 PSI safley?

I want to know because I may have enough money on my next pay check to buy it.

Or should I wait for somthing else?

Keep in mind Im not looking to making an insane amount of power maybe 380 - 400 HP. Im not planing on running more than 10 PSI.

Lemme Know ASAP.

Please be honest.

that is a normal price for a PowerDyne. one of my buddys bought one out of summit for 1900$ but it also included an excaliber programmer. he runs 9 psi and it made a pretty large improvement in power.

Yeah like Thrilla said Powerdyne has always been the least expensive. However there name isn't recognized with HUGE power like ProCharger and Vortech is. It's just a fact of life that to get the Best you gotta pay a little more. But Powerdynes aren't bad. My friend had one on his Dakota and it was pretty sweet.

I am at the coral alot, there is a guy there with a stock bottum end heads and cam with a Pufferdyne hitting high 10's. They are awesome units with the 6# pulley and I guess they anen't bad for breaking down....but as soon as you run the 9# pulley is where the bearing crap put over time.... As well their impeller speed isn;t near as high as the competitors. All in all I would say its the best kit dollar for dollar. But I myself would never buy one...... They must be doing something right if Ford Racing is using the exact same design on their chargers!

The thing is though, they are cheap as hell. How much can you ask out of it for $1900 ?

Well sc94gt has the same setup as me, but he has headers, hes pushin 291rwhp and 330rwt...so not to bad for 1900....can expect an extra 80-100 horse.....might be double the price of nitrous, but at leats you dont have to pay $5.00 a LB to fill it and its street legal..
