Those VR4s and heavy turbo cars of the 90s were pretty bulky and slow. When my friend had his srt-4 he blew the doors off 300zx's, vr4s, etc all day long and they wernt stock. Most were from a roll though, but even If you were a good driver you could mabye knock off a high 13 with perfect conditions. But on the street I have seen that all wheel drive cars just do not perform like they do at the track. which no car does but it seems I have heard a lot of stories with all wheel drive cars blowing ***** on the street.

Says he has a k&n air filter and a downpipe. Dunno whata downpipe is though. Also said he ran a 9.1 at the strip without the filter and down pipe. I ran a 9.4 without my throttle body or upper and lower intake manifold. So i like my odds.

I've just collected most of all this crap over time. From other forums mostly. But thanks, I'm glad someone likes it. Someone already PM'ed me wanting me to take it down...

Joe, I see you live pretty near jeff city. Would you be interested in getting together sometime for a race? I would love to line up aganist another stang, seems I never find one interested in racing around columbia.

Anyways if you do race em, race em from a roll Do that and you will probably beat em.

BTW a SRT-4 is the performace version of the neon, SRT is kinda like SVT. Them neons are supposed to run about a 14.1 or so stock, and pretty cheaply get well into the 13.5 range or so. I have never seen one in missouri though.

Dude you need to bring your stang down to cape giradeau there is tons of racing going on there all the time. I plan on brining my car to the drag strip in St Louis soon as it opens back up. What all you have done to your stang?? I love racing and hardly get through a weekend without doing so.
