How do you get rid of rod knock?

there is no quick fix for a rod knock, like grabbem said, time for a rebuild

well a cheap way is to just replace the bearings.....this could last awhile....or could not..

depends how bad the knock is...

If its very faint people have been known to run a heavier weight motor oil, but thats a pretty "ghetto" fix because a rod knock means you have something going seriously wrong internally. Either the bearings have dissintegrated (wearing themselves away) or a rod bolt may be coming loose. The rod or Rod cap could be elongating as well. A Whole sleu of things Im not as qualified as others to give further detail about.
