Default stock oil guage??

my guage stays almost all the way up all the time but if the cars really worm and the rpms drop to like 600 the guage will just drop almost into the red, but if i put the rpms up to like 800 it will shoot back up, is it just the guage that sucks??

Oil pressure is going to change depending on what kind of load is on the engine.

Well, that could have nothing to do with the gauge but it sounds like the gauge is toast. Get yourself a nice set of autometer gauges.

im just hopping there is nothing wrong with the engine, i dont think there is the guage should go from red at 600 to full at 700 it doesint make sence, and when the cars at 6000rpm the guage reads the same as if it was at 800rpm damn ford and how they cheap out.

Zex,
If you suspect you're having a problem causing major variances in oil pressure, I probably wouldn't cruise around at 6000rpm too often.

Kbush,
Some newer vehicles are equipped with "dummy" gauges. Basically, as long as it senses there is oil pressure, the gauge automatically registers the same at all times. Not sure if the 94's were like this or not. I'd ask some other owners of your same model year.
