T5 trans ATF what type

Hey you 5.0 guys, I'm retrofitting a Borg warner T5 into a 67. I know it takes ATF but I can't find anything that says what type of ATF or how much. Is it Mercon or Dextron or what? Anybody got some help for a classic stang dude? Thanks

Never mind I found it. It takes Mercon, Dextron II/III about 5.6 pints

your surpose to put in ATF and 3 quarts. im running Mobil 1 syn ATF in my tranny and it shifts smooth

Ford also makes a synthetic trans fluid for the t-5 that I hear will cure intermittent grinding problems
