Correct torque converter set up with mild mods
I have a 90 Mustang GT Conv. with a rebuilt stock 302, remanufactured Jasper auto trans with mild shift kit, completely new rear axles and 3:73 gears. I also have installed an off-road exhaust w/o cats and flow master mufflers. I want to replace the stock torque converter with one that would give me that extra push that I desire! What would be the best style T.C. and stall selection to satisfy my needs. I don't drag race much or take my car to the track, but would like a bit more power coming out of the hole at the street light! Along with the T.C., what other simple mods could I make to further tweek my power hungry automatic 5.0?[8D]

RE: Correct torque converter set up with mild mods
wouldnt go muchover 2500 with those simple mods another thing ive run into with the auto's and 3.73's dont run a tire over 25-26" tall even with the converter it wont rap into the powerband and you will lose et's or braggin right s whichever you preffer i lost half a second with mine 14.33 to a 14.70 and all i thought i did was put better looking tires on it because it raked the stance out a bit mine has the same basic mods but with the adition of a cam(highly recomended) and a C4 instead of an aod kinda wish i had the aod so i could run 4.10's and still be comfortable on the highway. (recomend) motorsport E303 or F303 cam or call comp or crane give them your spesc and mods they will build you or tell you your best bet
