2.73 or 3.73

RE: 2.73 or 3.73
you will need to recalibrate you speedo though if you change from your stock gears. The excuse that you have a different gear setup other than stock only works with the police once or twice.
I have 3.73's and race my fox in auto x and have found that I have more transmission (more access to high and low gears) than those guys running a stock setup. I would also suggest a limited slip for the dif, as you will end up burning up your drive tire in a hurry with an open dif.
good luck

I know this is a stupid question but do you change your gears in the transmission?

RE: 2.73 or 3.73
i have 2.73s with a 5spd and the other day i took a trip of about 250 miles and i got between 28-30 mpg and i was doing between 85-90 till i got pulled over. but they do get decently good gas milage. ithink 3.73s would be a good up grade with you if i did it im sure id still be over 22mpg on the highway which is really good for a v8

RE: 2.73 or 3.73
i have been debating which ratio to run with. 3.55 or 3.73
I drive 50 miles a day to and from work. 5 days a week.
when i DO take my car out and beat on it. i have a hard enough time keeping my tires in contact with the road. so i fear the 3.73 being too much gear...
is this a valid argument?
