I am just trying to find out the best oil for a 1992 mustang 5.0 with about 150000 miles. Any suggestions?

Mobil 1 Synthetic all the way. I use 10w30 in mine and my engine still runs really strong. That is the only oil that has been in that car since the first oil change. That's all the guy that I bought if from put in it and that's all I will put in it.

I actually just put 20-50. I know I know its super thick but I dont need and oil leaks all over the place. I drive my car really hard all the time so I just rather be on the super safe side.

well it also depends on where your located. Climate plays a big role on the viscostiy of oil.

never use synthetic in a high mileage car unless it has been used in the car since new...you will leak oil through seals and gaskets

royal purple is one of the best, so is amsoil and red line. i have used synthetic and it runs better, 6,000+ mile oil changes. get a good filter and you should only have to change the oil 2 times a year.

thats not true you can use synthetic on a older motor i did in mine with 270000 km on it with no probs i would switch back and forth depending on if i was racing it or not. lots of people have these miths about putting synthetic in a motor that hasent used it, its just not true.
