new 5.0
i just picked up my 95 gt last nite.. im just cleaning it up rite now, but then its time for the bodywork. i have $2000 to work with, im gonna paint the car myself(with a skilled friend), new brakes, rebuilding the engine adding gt40p heads w/ roller rockers, and a new cam. The brakes arent in good shape so should i just buy new rotors? or everything, calipers, pads ect. wuts the best way to do body work? bondo? i'm getting the heads and cam from my friends dad, so they shouldnt cost me more than a grand. also the driver side rear end sits kinda low making the car look crooked. could this be the shocks? those are my first mods i plan on doing..then full exuast.. hopefully i will have enough money.. i just want peoples opinions on this stuff and what you would do differently. thank you

Dude if you pay more then 500 for the used gt40p I will smack you. Go to a junk yard and find yourself a nice 98-01 5.0L explorer and take the heads, they are gt-40P heads. Also you can steal the upper and lower intake manifold which is also a GT-40 intake. The 500 is still alot for those used set of heads.

RE: new 5.0
The car might be sitting crooked do to a sagging or workout spring. I don't thinka bad shock would do that. If you say the brakes are bad I wouldn't skip on anything. I would upgrade everything i.e. Rotors, calipers, check master cylinder, etc. You might want to do a whole kit from Baer, Brembo, or Wilwood. Bondo is ok but take you time and make sure the job is done right. As for mods it all depends on what you want out of the car. So no one really should tell you what to do on that.
I do just have a little question though. I thought that the GT-40P heads had to have the GT-40P headers as well. Does anybody know if that is true or not. Anyway I would look into that because I have always heard that the GT-40P heads are not compatible with any headers except the GT-40P headers. (again that's what I have been told so don't quote me on that) Good luck and have fun.

RE: new 5.0
i'll take some pictures today after school. its not the prettiest thing rite now, but thats why i bought it, to have a project before i get my liscense.. i have a month and a half to get it up to par. now here is my other dilema.. WHAT COLOR TO PAINT IT.. i dont want black, because every1 else has a black sang. i was thinkg either white, or some type of dark red, or posibly a silver/shiny grey. any suggestions would be appreciated. i want a nice clean mean/sleeper look to my car. the gt40p heads have have a new set of roller rockers on them too.. i realize that they arent the best, but are way better than the stock heads. i was planning on getting some new lowering springs, so would that fix the crooked sit of the car?
