Depends on what you are looking at.Some will argue they can build a better motor for less. But if you are unable or not willing to get into it that far this may be a better way to go.

As far as quality they are quality from what ive seen.A few guys i know have them and they are holding up fine.

Depends on what you want to do with the car it's going in.

If you're looking for a basis for a forced induction screamer, then no, they're not good. With hyper pistons they won't hold up to as much abuse. It would be better to get a block and build it (or have it built) with forged stuff. Plus there is better stuff out there to be had. Skip the GT40 intake and heads, get a pro-products intake (saves money over others, works just as well) and get a set of AFR heads. Not a money saver, but they're a better start than the GT-40's. Then get a better cam. The alphabet cams are decent, but there's better to be had. I got an F303 and I like it, but I'd be willing to bet that a custom grind would yield more power with a more civilized idle. But whatever.

If it's just going to be a cruiser/daily driver/street racer, then it's a decent choice.
