Well I got it all figured out i think. Since the snowmobiling season is coming to an end I went and bought some goodies for my Mustang today. I have an 88 Mustang GT AOD with 63,000 miles that is in MINT cond. I bought it in September brought it home and put 14 degrees took the air box cone out and set the TPS to .99. On wednesday I took it to the Milan Dragway and ran a 15.41@89.76. Now all I have done to it is but a set of BBK underdrive pulleys on. Now It runs 15.20@93.23 and a couple of times if i shift it at 5700 RPM it has went 97 MPH twice in the same day on a 15.26 run. Today I went and bought some 4.10 gears MAC full length headers, H Pipe, a set of Flowmasters and im keeping it SD for now. I have some Mickey Thompsons Street Radials on the way also. So what should this thing run once spring comes around? im guessing 14.7-14.8 is that pretty reasonable?

John

Hey 88 stang, I've been to Milan quite a few times. We should meet up there sometime. 14.8s are absolutely reasonable. The 4.10 gear change will get close to that alone.

wow, that thing is turning relatively normal times, but the speeds are remarkable. When I was stock mine went 15.4's at about 88mph.. I didn't break into the 90+mph until I hit 14.8's and that was at 91mph.. But elevation plays a hige role in that I guess.

I dont know if its me, but 15.4 seems kinda slow, unless it was your first time out with your car. Well that and the fact you have an auto. I see now that those times are about right for the heavier GT fox body. Get those gears and tires on there and you could possibly see mid 14's. Good luck.
And I must add, that is one of the sweetest fox body GT's I have ever seen. Those colors look great together and I love those rims on that car.

92gthatch

I was thinking the same thing about his trap speeds-

the fastest time I got the first time at the track was a 15.02 at 92 mph
97 is pretty up there-

With the 4.10's and tires you should see close to mid 14's. And than throw the exhaust on there you should drop maybe 1 or 2 tenths. Than your next move should be a shift kit and a nice converter; than subframes and than get started on your induction system. Thats what I would do...
