Default new hood

hey guys i just put a new edelbrock intake manifold and holley carb on my 85 gt. Everything is running fine but i have some hood clearence issues. Im looking for a cowl hood and came across this company, http://www.championfiberglassproducts.com/mustang.htmlJust wondering if anyone has heard of them or bought a hood from them. I want to know if there was any fitment issues with the hood because no one wants to buy a hood that doesnt fit good. Thanks.

I bought my hood from Champion and I had no problems with the way it fit--bolted right on!

With just the mods you have, there shouldnt be any clearance issues. But if so you can get a nice cowl-induction hood from many different places. That website you have listed does have some nice hoods for a good price. Hope you get one soon and let us see some pics.

yeah i put on an edelbrock performer RPM air gap manifold and a holley and the air cleaner is right against the hood. No space what so ever, i tried to smaller filter but that still didnt work. So its a cowl hood and im glad to hear that they fit good. Thanks for the help.

TokinGLX: I believe that the Air Gap is taller than the Performer. Not positive but Ive always thought that and this kind of explains it. I think....

Try a drop base filter.

When I had the Vic jr intake on I had to use one, even with a 2 1/2" cowl hood.
