But whats the point of a cam with stock heads????So it will sound fast..that's just as bad as putting cobra badges on a 6ixer..And the b cam is VERY quirky..and hard to tune..So i would look into a dual pattern cam like the TF stage 1 cam..Plus its cheaper.

bah if your going to do a cam swap and get your head ported you should really look into thumper porting, he has proven 12 sec combos with stock ported heads for a real good price. his combo #3 is:
ported E7 that are ported, gasket matched, some bowl work, etc. plus
Vassco springs, moley retainers and keepers
For cams to .600 lift
Double roller timing chain and gear set w/3 position key way
FMS "E" ( for AOD cars) or "B" cam
Instructions on installation and Cam phasing for the best power and performance for you application
Proven 12 sec combination
$895.00 + 100.00 refundable core charge**

I had him do some work on some gt40's that i got off ebay and man they look great (there soon to be going in a fresh short block). he's really great to work with and he can basically do whatever you want. here's his link: http://www.hunterstyle.com/thumper/index.php

yeah I agree since your getting in there you might as well just do the heads. If it takes some more time to save up just remember this, all great things are worth waiting for. Tell yourself that for a while and it will help the time pass.

I don't want to get into your business bro, its your money spend it how you want. But personally, if all you intend to run is a stage 1 cam, which is what a .499 intake lift?? Don't go out and buy a set of 1300 dollar heads, its over kill. Have your stock heads P&P'd and built, springs, retainers ETC.....pay half the money for a set of heads that will perform just as well with that stage 1 cam. take the 700 bucks you saved and go out and buy some roller rockers and a set of headers, I garuntee your 1300 bucks makes your car faster than the poor suckers that spent the 1300 on heads alone running that same cam.

Someone posted a link, but I would probably try to find a local speed shop somewhere in your area so you can save on the shipping as well.
