Can anything be done to modify the stock upper and lower intake on a 95 GT ?

Also.... as of now i have my car down to the heads, soon they will be off and i'm gonna replace the cam too. Is there any other things i can do to improve performance that isnt too costly while i'm already there ?
Would timing adjustments help me any ?

I am also planning to put on 24# injectors and a larger mass airflow sensor with an adjustable fuel reg.
Any tips on do's and donts while i'm doing this operation. Anything special i should watch out for or anything i need to be super careful with ? i'm a first timer here and i'm not too knowledgeable about this whole process..... thanks alot.

You can slighly port the lower and maybe try port matching the lower and heads..But i WOULD NOT put a cam in a motor with stock heads once again i'll say its just pissing in the wind..And so is the 24# injectors on a basically stock motor..they will do nothing but hurt performance...Now a decent mass air will help a little so will advancing the timing to about 14*.

Buy a new one, alot of guys on the site are grabbin 96+ intake off the 5.0 explorers from junk yards....Personally I want nice **** under my hood and rather spend the extra money, but theres a few possibilites...

I'm puttin some diff. heads on. I'm shootin for some gt40p or gt40 heads. I'm kindof concerned about the matter of my headers fitting or not with the p heads. I have bbk but i'm not sure which ones they are. From reviews and such i've read i hear that the P heads outflow the gt40's and make more power. Any other suggestions on heads. i'm tryin to stay under 550, so i'm lookin alot on ebay...also any suggestions on a cam to run with one of 2 heads ? thx
