Default plug gap with HEI?

Hey you guys should know the answer to this. I'm running a summit HEI on my 67 with a 302 and trick frow heads. I bypassed the resistor wire to get the full 12 volts to the distributor. What the heck plug gap should I be running. I gapped it a .050 but I'm thinking that could go to about .060. I'm sure you 5.0 guys run into this all the time.

Default RE: plug gap with HEI?

a typical HEI system does like .060. but I ALWAYS gap small... idk why

put it around .055

i run .048 in my Cobra, .054 is recommended
and .032 in my Probe, .044 is recommended (then again.. 17psi of boost will blow out the spark at .044) [8D]
