Default Starter going bad maybe?


Most of the time my car turns over fine, but sometimes when i turn the key over it wont start for a second or two and I just hold the key over till it finally kicks. There is no ticking (sound) except the initial tick when you turn the key.</P>


Occasionally the car wont start at all and I have to get it rolling pop it into gear THEN start it. I am thinking this is the starter getting stuck somehow... does someone know what this could be?</P>

Ive had one forever lol Haynes. But that thing doesn't trouble shoot for you and I don't know enough yet.

get your battery load tested, should be free at autozone...

could also be your solonoid but sounds like astarter.

buy a starter...sounds like the bendex is sticking...if it does it again smack the starter with a hammer.
