Default Painting Block

Well I’m finally getting around to painting my new block and I’m wondering if 500 degree engine enamel is enough for the job? OoOor does it need to be a higher temp paint?

I like the 'Kylon' brand engine paint. Lasts for years, not real expensive.
I would use 4-5 light coats on it and then see if you had the coverage you want.
BTW, they sell a great Ford Blue.
I get the stuff at Pep Boys......
