He may be stupid and a bser, but correct me if im wrong but if he has a head/cam/intake combo could he not beat an LS1 w/ exhaust? Foxs are a lot lighter than F bodies...

what else had you done? and what year are you? there is a major difference in how the foxs respond to mods over the years.

i tink he will take u de3pending on traction and his gearing i have taken ls1 with head in cam almost the same comb. he describes and with 3.73 gears out back so, unless hes bluffing ur TA should b no prob.

a 347 is a 302 block stroked to 347....you can't tell by looking at it.

if it has heads and intake it could very well be a 347, so unless he is notorious for bs, why doubt it?

my buddies 347 does in fact make about 400 crank hp, he also has a s-trim , and the car dyno's about 550 , thats in a '92 lx hatch
and he fully expects to run about a 10.80

my other buddies '95 gt has a 327 w/ an s-trim and he dyno's about 500 rwhp on a mustang dyno.

even if he is only 300 hp, if he has cheater slicks and 4.10's it'll run 12's....a little squirt in it and could be good for 400 hp , and 11's

sounds like it's gonna be a case of driver superiority to me.

and his auto could be a c4 w/ a 3500 stall, and that would move it just fine.

my buddies '91 gt w/ stock block 302, gt40 heads and intake , 4.10's and 125 shot went 11.90's on slicks

but i have also seen 2 different ls1's go 12's on just exhaust. same day, and they were parking right next to me at the track, i could see thier cars , hoods popped , and had no reason to not believe them, we talked back and forth all day, very cool guys.

I dont know...IMO i would just race and hope you can drive better then him. but if you both auto wheres the tallent in that? haha j/k.

If you are not betting any money, then why are you worried about it. Just race him and see how it goes.
