Default Damn GT 40 Heads, I Hate You But I Gotta Know

I Agree That Putting A Beefier Cam Without Heads Is No Good, But I'm Going From Stock 89 GT Heads, To GT 40 P Heads, Since These Heads Are A Better Flowing Set Than My Stock Ones, Is It Okay To Get A Bigger Cam, Not Crazy Big, But Decent, Like A TrickFlow Stage 1.

Are the Gt-40 heads port and polished? If not I recommend doing that before you put them on.

I'm Taking The Heads To The Machine Shop Tomorrow. I Will Ask What It Will Run Me SInce I Am A Poor Man. Maybe I Can Do It Myself Since I Am Polishing Both The Upper And Lower Intake. I Already Have the Upper Stripped Of Powdercoat, And Has Been Gone Through With 80 Grit, Next Is 120 Grit, And So On. But I Think I could port them Myself. What Do You Think

If you have all the right tools I guess. I would at very least talk to guys that do porting jobs regularly to see what they think and too see if there is anything that you have to do thatq your not thinking of. make sure you do everything within specs. If you choose to do it yourself..... Good Luck.

Thanks, I Have Both Dremel And Air Grinder, And A S***Load Of Grinding Bits. I Guess I Just Need Gaskets To Match the Ports To.
