Default Where is the speedo gear?
Where is my speedometer gear located? Also how do I change it? Is it in the trannsmission or is it in the gauge unit? thanks.

im pretty sure it is in the tranny, unfortunately I cannot provide any more info, i watched a tech do it from afar...

its on the drivers side of the tranny if its a std, i dont know about auto, but it should be on drivers side towards the top of the tranny

yeah drivers side and only one bolt to remove it. very easy to take out and replace

if you just unbolt it, that will null the speedometer, but wont it also cause you not to put any more miles on the clock? heh if your car is leased and you dont want to go over your limit you can do that

fraud, its fantastic! its gotta be easier than turning back the odo, but if your gauges are digital thats the only thing you can do is disconnect the speedo

yeah, i had that done with mine for a bit haha. then i realized i could just turn back the odometer instead of having it not hooked up, either way is hella illegal though.
