Default need some guidance

Im pleased with the mods ive already got so far but I still would like to see some more gains…..so far ive done CAI, UDP, offroad h pipe, flows, removed smog pump, and MSD coil, ive also got my timing set to 14* and im running 93 octane, but I wanted to ask you guys what route I should take next to see the best gains, the only thing is I would like to keep from having to take out the motor or anything too tricky, just the best bang for the buck and fairly easy installations….thanks

yeah see about the 8.8 Also how is your traction doing? Maybe a set of upper and lower control arms with some eibach springs and your choive of shocks? Also if you want power then after the gears change out the upper and lower intake manifold.

yeaa im with crazyfast on that, upgrade the suspention a little and get the bigger rear end, i have 3.73's in my 5.0 and i love them highway really isnt bad on them at all, when you punch it though its out i was so impressed with the results of the gears, for the buck you cant beat them, and if you upgrade the intake it will pull so nice with the gears, i have the gt-40 on mine with a 65mm tb and the 3.73s like when i shift the car it hits the power band so nicely it just takes up from like 4k up, good luck on any choice you make

an 8.8 with 355's would be a great difference.
But if your stuck on engine upgrades, then hit a junkyard and grab some heads off an explorer, theres a sticky I beleive that runs through the facts on them, but generally, up to 96 are the iron gt40's, and the 97+ 5.0l explorers have gt40p heads, which flow better and have slightly smaller valves, but you need special headers to run those. Get the intake also. A larger throttle body wouldnt hurt either.

If you dont want to mess with the rear yet you can start on a h/c/i (heads, cam, intake) combo. It really depends on how much money you have. You can go with a nice TrickFlow Kit or you can piece it together. I would go with a set of AFR165's and a Edelbrock RPMII manifold. Like I said, if you dont have the money for new parts (and expensive) than you can what closkey said and find a junkyard with a set of gt-40p heads and a manifold. You will see nice powergains from that also. Good luck and let us know how much money you are willing to spend.
