Default 89 5.0 in a 94 v6??

I have an 89 5.0 that is totalled, but the drivetrain is still good. I recently found a 94 6 banger with a 5 speed, for cheap in good condition, so i took it. When it gets warm out i plan on swapping the motors and putting the drivetrain from the 89 in the 94.

My question is would i be able to use the computer and wiring harness out of the 89 in the 94? Also is there any special parts from the 89 that wont work in the 94?
Any info would greatly help.

swap everything over.

computer/wiring harness
fuel pump/lines/injectors/rails

the tranny should bolt up, but i'm definetly not sure about that one.

same with the rear end. i'm thinking a 94 sixer came with a 7.5.

i don't know if all this stuff will bolt up into an sn-95 bodystyle. someone might chime in.

Unless I'm wrong (which is a HUGE possibility), I believe the EFI in the V6 should hook up fine to the 89 engine. You may consider swapping the computer, though. Also, the tranny should bolt right up, too. You will probably need new motor mounts, but I believe everything should bolt right up.

Yea i will be using my tranny from the 89, since it has a tremec in. I am pretty confident everything will fit ( as far as engine, trans, and rear). The only thing i wasnt sure of is the electrical part. I dont think i can use my V6 computer, so i was plannin on using the 5.0. But someone had told me the wiring harness is routed differently on the two different years. I guess the only way to figure out for sure is take it a part, which is how i figure out almost everything i do. haha

I have a 95 v-6, now a 5.0. you need a bellhousing out of a 94/95 5.0 only 87-93 is 5/8 inch shorter input shaft and bellhousing, the 94\95
is longer to accomidate the new body style interior and shifter placement.
The v6 has a 11" clutch and flywheel the v8 has 10.5"
The computer system DOES NOT plug in, the sn95 body is OBD II where as the fox style is OBD I you have to wire in the new computer and harness, and all the gauges will work right.
The fuel lines have to be legnthened-plastic good luck
Exhaust system has to be from a sn 95 style including headers
If your wandering the a/c compressor will not workfrom a fox unless you have the hoses specially made

All SN-95 V6's are OBD 2 the V8 is OBD 1 in the SN-95
