i have a hurst shifter set up on my t5, it is grinding slightly when i put it in 2nd. almost feels like
it doesnt travel quite far enough to engage fully into 2nd. with the hurst, is there any adjustment on the travel for the throw from 1st. to 2nd ? if so, how is it adjusted? thanks.

It all depends on if it has shift stops...And not to burst your bubble but if the shifter did have shift stops and they was not adjusted properly then the car would pop out of 2nd instead of grind or just go right in...So you either have a blocker ring or synchro going bad in the tranny.
