Default Mass Airflow, Need Help Bad!!

All right guys, I just ordered the B303 cam. Now here is my next question, I am using the intake off the Explorer which is the GT-40 I want to go to a bigger MAF, I think a 70mm MAF with a 65mm throttle body would work fine. But I don't think it is as simple just plugging in the new MAF. Can someone tell me what is involved with going to a higher MAF. My car is an 89 GT with a factory MAF. Also does anyone know what size the MAF on the 97 V8 explorer is. I have one leftover from a 97 Explorer V8. Please Need Help

It should be as simple as plug and play. Why dont you go for a 70mm tb? I see your in long beach which is pretty close we should all get together sometime and go down to a race track. There are a few more people on this forum from around here that might want to go. God luck with the mods. Also where did you find the explorer at?

what size injectors are you running? the maf will have to be calibrated to them
i'm not sure about the explorer maf, i'd just buy an aftermarket one like a 73mm-75mm

Well I'm From Long Beach Originally But I'm In Oak Ridge Tenn. For The Past 4 Years. I bought the Explorer Engine Here In Oak Ridge. My car was Running Great. Then My Radiator Busted. I took the radiator out and figured now would be a good time to go and put my headers and X pipe since they sat in my shed close to 2 years. Everything came together great had no more mods planned except a 3.73 gear. Like a week later a day after getting my flowmasters put on, the car lost compression on the # 3 Cylinder. All the other cylinders were pushing 111-115 PSI, the # 3 had a whole 25 PSI. Buddy told me it might just be a valve instead of a ring since the car was not smoking real bad. I decided to go ahead and find a whole 302 so I could get the car running but still have a block left over to build in to a stroker engine while still driving my Car. Engine cost me 350.00 bucks the junk yard pulled and loaded it for 50.00, explorer only had 107,000 miles.
