Default might need a new block

I'm about to buy a 92 notch back with the intention of a daily driven car that can run low 11s. I want to upgrade to a stronger 5.0l style block. i was just wondering what your opinions were on who makes the best block. and where i could pick one up. The car will be SC. any info will be appreciated

Something like a Dart Sportsman is probably the best buy out there for radical street cars. The Dart Iron Eagle block is stronger, but you'll need to be deep in the 8s before it's needed. If you only want low 11s, there is no reason for an aftermarket block. A supercharged stock shortblock will get you that.
