BBK SSI Intake Question

RE: BBK SSI Intake Question
No one should ever buy a BBK SSI intake. It is the biggest piece of sh#t i have ever owned!!!!! I rebuilt my engine back in spring of '05. Bottem end is built to stock spec, have an f303 cam, gt40x aluminum heads, new lifters, FRPP 1.6 roller rockers, 24#injectors, 65mm TB, 75mm maf. Not only did i have to wait 6 months to get that intake back then, u have to modify all kind of sh#t for it to work. With the motor in the car the upper plenum hit the firewall and didnt sit flat on the lower. U have to relocate the BAPsensor(MAP sensor on speed density cars)and move the main wire harness up cause the intake rubs against it when the motor when it shakes. I finally stretched the firewall and got it together. Drove the car for a week and end every time i started it it smoked like a damn diesel. Pulled the top cover of the plenum and it was full of motor oil that the pcv sucked in from the lifter valley. I unhooked the pcv and cleaned the oil out of the plenum and it stopped smoking but still ran ****y with a rolling idle and and only about 15in. of vacuum. Found2 holes in the casting of the upper plenum and bird **** weld inside around the throttle body opening. Needless to say im buying an edlebrock right now!
