Thanks alot guys, even though it was mostly split down the middle and some good points made, I will be going with some 4.10's, and also grabbing a T56 as well. Thanks again.

chose gears by the use of hte car and future plans. picking the wrong gear will hurt your performance. to much gear will make you to high in the rpms for racing, to low of a gear will put you to low in the rpms for racing

for my AOD i chose 410s
for my T5 car i have 355s

410. stock AOD are pigs and they suck up so much so going to a 410 is ideal at first but once you start with some serious power you will need to back off some or run taller tires

also with 410s it will help with a huge stall along with weak shift points of the aod

with 4.10's the driveshaft spins barely over 4 times to fully rotate the back wheels one cycle.

with 3.73's the driveshaft spins about 3 3/4 times to fully rotate the back wheels one cycle.

I would go with 4.10's.. you will not be dissapointed.

3.73's would give the car a better top speed
4.10's would give the car better acceleration

Thanks lookinforastang! I myself is thinking of getting some 4:10's. I have a 91 GT vert. I was also suggested the 4:10's but really knew the difference. I have my H Pipe sitting in my garage collecting dust, I have to put that damn thing on.

Anyhow, how much do 4:10's cost? and does anyone recommend any brand?

Yeah thanks for the info. I'm some what in the same boat. I have a 95GT vert and thinking of modding the gear.

You can get gears anywhere from $160-$250. Here is a link to MustangTuning.com
http://www.mustangtuning.com/rearend.html?source=google
There are a few brands that you can go with:
Ford Racing
Motive
Strange
Etc.

On the link Motive is having a sale and the 4.10's are only $160. I would jump on that. Also, Installation shouldnt cost more than $250. So all together you are looking at $400-$450 for an outrageous improvement in performance. Its well worth it! Good Luck!
