Default supercharging my '94 GT

im looking to supercharge my 1994 GT. It has no mods except mac headers, h-pipe, and cat back exhaust. I do not want to spend any more than $2,000. Does any one know the best supercharger you can get for that money. Thanks

I'm currently looking at a Kennebell.
but it's $2,999. Little more than you are talking about.

www.kennebell.net

btw: $2k for a blower is really really cheap,
and sometimes you get what you pay for.

Srry i said $2000 i meant $3000. I am looking at a Satin finish Vortech V-2 SQ S-Trim 6-8 psi. From what I have heard they are good superchargers. It is $2,549 from superchargers online. I would rather not have the s/c on top of the motor so i can keep the same hood or else i would definitely get a kenne bell. My friend has one on his truck and it gave it like 60% more hp. if you dont mind getting a new hood i would definitely go with the kenne bell on your car. Thanks.

you can get a powerdyne one off ebay for 1800 dollars, but if you want to go with vortech those are pretty good.

Turbocharging may be an option also. Do you think you get more bang for the buck with the supercharging or turbocharging?

You can get more power with a turbo but, you can figure on it costing twice as much. Also, you have to think about your stock internals and your fuel system being up to the power level.

You dont have to get new hood for kennebell s/c on 1994 GT.

Fits under the hood as far as I understand. just replace same place upper intake
manifold was in.

Yea i never thought of that. Do you know how many psi you can go up to before you have to do any other work to handle the boost? the s/c im looking at now are 6-8 psi do you think i could go up any higher than that.

I am considering the same thing with my 94 Cobra. Not trying to hijack this thread but i think my question will be useful

What would I be looking at as far as fuel mods go. What will i need to install the system properly and not have any fuel issues?

Check out the link I posted and look thru
Kennebell's web site, Looks like a pretty complete kit

http://www.kennebell.net/pricelist/SC-PRICELIST.pdf

"ready to run" kit including injectors for $2999,
will run 8psi on 94oct.
