Default Manuel Rack change.

Hey everybody. I just wanted to see what is all needed to change from a power steering rack to a manuel rack aside from the rack. I read somewhere that I would need to change the shaft I think? If anyone knows all the other stuff needed besides the manuel rack itself please let me know. Thanks.

If you are going Flaming River, they make a full conversion kit. So does D&D.

Well I'm frankly just sick of things going wrong with it. First I was racing and it felt like it went out. This was the start of the problems. From there the pump started screaming. Eventually I couldn't take it and I changed the pump out. The ******* that sold it to me said it should make noise for the first couple of days after I install it. yeah come to find out Bennet sux *** and sold me a bad pump. Plus the rack went out. I changed the rack. The new rack has a worse leak than the first. I have stains all over my driveway and my family is giving me sh*t everyday. Plus turbo kit piping sits real close to rubber lines. I just don't want to deal with the headache anymore. I figure as long as I get a new rack and there is no problem with it I will have less to break.

ya, all you will need is the rack and the steering shaft. I recommend swapping your rack bushings for some polyurethane ones, and if your car is lowered get offset rack bushings.

Yeah I already have the offset bushing. I put those in when I changed the rack. That's all I need is the manuel rack and the steering shaft? And aside from Flaming River is there any other good brands out there?

i have the FR manual rack in the hatch. it came with the shaft that you need. you get everything you need when you buy the FR kit

other kits like when you buy it from theparts store are the stock ones and need to buy all the pieces
