I have always wanted to know how much power different compressions make for the 5.0 . Like what is the real difference in power from different compressions ? For example say a bone stock 5.0 with 225 hp, instead of 9.1 it has 10.1 and 11.1, 12.1 ,etc etc what is the real difference in horsepower? I have heard its not a lot only 5-10 and I have heard as much as 40 +

in an OE-style SEFI HO motor, each half point increase in compression ratio [above 9:] produces an approximate increase of 15 horsepower

cool thanks so if a stock 5.0 had 10.1 it would have around255horsepowerand 11.1 compression it would have around 285 horsepower ? Is that right or did you mean something differnt ?

I hope to god that nobody would take the time to bump compression up to (anything above stock) and still use stock heads, intake, cam...

Kinda wish I had just gone N/A with 10:1 cr though, would have been plenty of power and a lot cheaper.
