1986 5.0 high output

1986 5.0 high output
my friend has just bought a 1986 mustang 5.0 high output manual trans t-top but the front end is off of a 1992 mustang and the side rear windows are too I think. So where is the vin number other then on the dash so that we can see if the dash has bin changed or the body panels have bin changed and do you know what years they made t-tops in.

the vin is also on the bottom of the doors. If you lay on your back with the door open, and you underneith, you can find it. Its about halfway between the hinges and end of the door, i.e. in the middle or so. You cant see it unless you get under the door.

there should be a tag on the rear end on the diff cover. and the tranny should have a tag bolted to it as well, it is on the side of the tranny i cant remember which side. the VIN for the engine is on the back of the block behind the intake manifold. hope that helps
