maybe a few dollars. 89stanglx has no clue about insurance though, ask any insurance company they go by vins, no matter what you have done to your car.

so we all should have gotten a 4cyl lx and did a motor swap

^^ I agree... if I knew I was going to swap my motor 5 thousand times I would of gotten a 4cyl. And it would of already been an LX!

hmmmm so 5.0L LX's aren't that common or what?? Everyone saying they shoulda bought a 4cyl so they already had an LX... I have an LX and it came stock with a 5.0.

So why is it that i have no clue? My insurance company made a comment when I insured my lx and said your lucky that you dont have a GT because it would be a little more because they consider it a sports car, and they dont consider the lx a sports car. And yes it goes by vin numbers. People that put a 5.0 in a 4 banger model get away with the cheaper insurance rate because of the vin#. If your an insurance expert I guess I have no clue, I am just putting in my 2 cents that my insurance company charges more for a GT but im sure its not that much.

man i wish i was paying that on my 97 gt i was paying 4500 a year[sm=insomnia.gif] [sm=sigh.gif]but i have so many tickets so that dont help any [sm=icon_beat.gif]and now i just lost my lisence so its going up more
