I went out and took a look. The negative battery terminal came off so I put that back on. Turn on the key and the car turn over and sounded perfect except that the fan is pushed into the pulleys so it stops after a few seconds.

You can come over, Im home from school today but iom going out to lucnh with my girlfriend at 11:30 so I have to be gone by then.

If I were you, I'd spend some time reading in detail my insurance policy to see if it addresses specifically modifying your car and if they will cover it or not. Usually insurance companies say something along the lines of they will not cover the aftermarket things. As does the car, the mod depreciate too, so they'd probably give you grief over that too. If you have access to the car, I'd say go get as much off of it as you can....before you don't own it anymore.

Well I can't just go taking parts off of it then let them take the rest of it. I think thats illegal but i dunno. Im gonna read through my policy and see what it says about modifications and all that.

When my buddt totld his car they told him that they would give him 80% of blue book & he could keep it or 100% & they take it.

aparently anything obe 80% of value is a total 80% & less is not so the apraiser gives an extimate of 80% to the ins co & its not totaled.
