Default 347 Stroker Question

First of all, hello to everybody from the new guy! Now, I have a 90' GT. I have the Trick Flow top end kit(heads, upper and lower intake, cam, etc.) on my stock block. I am planning on redoing the bottom end. I want to put a 347 stroker short block in. I am having a hard time deciding which company's kit to use though. Has anyone used a DSS or Coast High Performance short block before? If anyone could shed some light on the subject, or their experiences they've had with these companies or other companies I'd appreciate it. I plan on spraying it with a 200 shot as well. About a year later I want to s/c it. I don't want to put 8:1 pistions in for a year though, so.... If anyone can help.. Thanks
Dave

well correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure that the DSS long block is all forged or billet internals and the block is beefed up as well. also where ever it is possible to girdle or brace they usually do. I don't know about the other companie's products but hopefully that sheds some light on things.

p.s just incase you don't know it is best to get around 8 to 8.5/1 compression for spray

Not really...you can spray a 14.1 compression motor with the right tune...its only good to get lower compression for some type of forced induction...And dss make pretty top notch stuff so it would be hard to go wrong.

sounds like you better up the extra cash for a race block as well. A 347 with a 200 shot I think you will get to that 500+ stock block problem area quick and a 347 with mild boost will do the same. forged internals in a stock block to me is just a waste of money. good parts stock block and the block fails and you got lots of good parts that are now broke up due to stock block. IMO

yes but if you spray a 14/1 engine it has about the reliability of a grenade, and im sure this is a daily driver

14/1 engines have been getting spray for years with the right tune. No problems.
I can make well over 500 on my stock block with 75 HP spray. My ? would be why bother if you can run all motor anyway?

Opps, missed something here with that post.................
Hate that when it happens.............
I'm trying to say that a good 347 will make 500 anyway so why spray it?
