for the price diff its better off to go with 200, but like they said you dont need it, unless your going to put like a 2k watt amp with some subs and all. other then that go with 130. no need for anything bigger.

200 is overkill. The 130 will be fine. I've had great luck w/ mine.

Ok guys, I finally upgraded my alternator to a 3G 130 amp alternator this weekend. Now at full load with air and the lights on, it stays consistent at 14, before when I had stock alternator, It would be a 12 volt then when I would turn on my air and lights, it would drop to 11.6 so I hope it fixed the problem. My question now it, the stock volt gauge in accurate? It will still show it as below half. BUT wjen I check it staright from the battery, I get a reading of 14.2. SO is it possible that the gauge in the dash is in accurate?

The stock gauges are not very accurate.

What do you think about the autometer volt mechanical gauges? would they be more accurate?

I bought a powermaster 140 amp and when tested at 6000rpm it made 158amps. I think that should be plenty.

I did the Powermaster 140 amp as well. It's more than enough, even with the electric fan and additional accesories that I have drawing off the alt.

200 is more than you'll ever need.
