Tremec Break-In

I bought my car with the tremec tranny installed about 500miles b4..now its got about 800 miles on it.. I think the shifter is still notchy because of the low miles..Is there a certain way to break it in? Should i change the flud? what type? thanx a lot

well going to a syth fluid will help..I just think there like that as mine is as well..it hits like crazy though no miss shift<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

whatch those shift forks...bent mine oops i heard they are bad for this tremecs are very precise,and have built in stops. i put a pro 5.0 on mine works pretty good for me.

Tremec Break-In

is it a tremec 3550 or a tremec t-5 a tremec 3550 is supposed to be ran with gm syncromesh fluid only according to tremec, tremec 3550's are notchy thats just how they are. A tremec t-5 takes reg. dextron III fluid. i have had tremec 3550 in all my stangs i love them.
