Default 1984 mustang gt

Ive got a 1984 mustang gt and the body is a little rusted and damaged so i plan to get a lot of it fixed. However one thing that im not a huge fan of is the front end. I dont like that plastic front and rear bumpers, or the headlight configuration and I am debating swaping front ends with a later model. Is this easily achievable? Im a rookie when it comes to body work however I would love to tackle this myself. Can someone give me some help please?

Kyle.

It can be done, "all stang bumbers are plastic" but never looks right! You might be better off just getting a newer stang, but I think it will grow on ya.

Then there are those of us who love the frontend design and wouldn't change it ever.....

is it a "gt350" package?

if so i would not change it at all. they are really rare.

just freshen it up. if it's not, then do it.

Then my suggestion to you is to sell it and buy a later model.

sweet, yeah i love the design of the car current, i just wasnt sure about the material on the front end. Its not a gt350 model though, i wouldn't change it if it was haha. Yeah i think im gonna leave it than, it just needs some tender care some of it is cracked and broken, only the small plastic peice that seperates the headlights is broken. thanks for the input i really appreciate it!

i find it ironic that we both have 84 gt's and we both have the same name anywho i would def keep the front end you dont see to many of them on the road its def a different look. at first i didnt really like the front end of mine then it grew on me now i think it looks a lot meaner than the 87-93 and looks a hell of a lot better than 85 and 86 i also find that the little cut outs for the head lights make a great place to put your tools or your drink and stuff when your working on the engine hahaha
