Default To Juice or not to Juice

Well im thinking about adding a zex dry shot kit to my stang,From the few people ive talked to they said i would be nuts to do this to an engine that is 16 years old and has 116,000 Miles on it but i have faith.I am the 3rd owner of the car the last 2 were older men and i dont think it was beat on that much as it has the original clutch. What do you guys think i should do.Juice it or no?

i don't like the nos, more damage then good, but wet is the way to go and no more then 75, unless engine has been rebuilt for nos. Good friend of mine running 100 dry shot on stock engine had a nos backfire and sent number 8 piston straight up into the plug. not pretty, $5000 to rebuild. Something to think about.

nitrous isnt more harmful than any other power adder, its all on how its setup and tuned, i had a buddy sprayin a 175 shot on a stock bottom end with some cheapy speedpro forged pistons

depends on the mods and tuning, just like primtime5.0 said. my opinion on a stock engine (no mods) no more then 75 wet shot. but opinions will differ.

Spray that thing down. 116,000 miles? lol That baby is still fresh. I just bought an '87 GT that saw 200-225hp shot for 10 years (the previous owner bought it when we were in high school in 1994). The motor finally started comsuming a lot of oil with >240k miles on it. On my supercharged car, it's stock motor saw 150-250hp through a nozzle from 141k when I bought it until 148k when I pulled it. It's now in another car and sees 150-200hp every weekend and is still going strong.

I've known plenty of people to spray 300hp on stock longblocks. They usually push headgaskets within a few passes though.

A stock 5.0 H.O. can take 100 shot all day long. 116,000 miles? That thing is IDEAL for a nitrous system. Well, maybe not ideal, but it should take it no problem! Just make sure you have PLENTY of fuel with a better fuel pump, and maybe 24# injectors.. Don't let it detonate.

Now i was going to go with a zex dry shot kit,I herd dry shot is better, safer and enables at open throttle which is what im looking for,What im not looking for is to blow the engine everything is stock it has a valve cover leak which im fixing now,If i do add nitrious what would i have to change for a deffinit of not blowing the engine...I need to no if i can run a 75-100 shot without fcking things up as thats all looking to run.

You shouldnt have any problems make sure the timing is backed down 2 degrees for every 50 on the bottle and plenty of fuel and you shouldnt have any issues
