There really is no "better"
What are you looking for?
All out power?
Cheapest way out?
Insane power curve?

A properly sized turbo will give you the best power per pound of boost but kits tend to cost a lot.
A baseline centrifugal blower will give you your cheap blower for the money.
And a Twin Screw will be horridly fun to drive with a nasty power curve.

turbo is better, period. it costs more but will make more hp per # of boost then a sc. also, for daily driving, the sc is a constant drag on the motor since you dont boost till 3000rpm-ish. i have a sc and love it but if not for califronia emissions, id have two turbos and an intercooler under my hood instead

A twin screw will boost almost instantly off idle though. And can be made to pump out a lot more boost than your stock internals, much less block, can handle.

I agree though, either twin screw (kenne bell) or turbo. Both are expensive though.

Looking for cheap? Get a used centrifugal. Whichever way you go, you won't be disappointed.

And you should probably get this intake http://mustang50magazine.com/techart...03_bbk_intake/ and tell us about it. =)

It would help in these threads if you put out a reality based dollar amount for your budget. I doubt that if money were no object anyone would not tell you to go with a turbo kit. But stepping back into reality, a centrifugal supercharger can be had for literally half the cost of a quality turbo kit from a well known manufacturer.

Or if you are simply goal based (like just shooting for 400rwhp) then there could be a few options thrown out that you could decide on yourself. For example, you could buy a Novi 1000 and a Vortech 8" Renegade crank pulley both for right at $2000 new. This would get you approximately 10psi and still keep your 3 year warranty. On a stock motor, you should be able to manage ~350rwhp and easily hit ~400rwhp with just intake and exhaust mods and keeping your stock longblock.

A little off topic:

I have AFR heads, E303 cam, 1.6 aluminum roller rockers, full exhaust o/r, Trick Flow intakes, 70mm TB, 73mm MAF, CAI, MSD TFI, MSD Cap n' Rotor, 4.10's, BBK FPR, 255lph fuel pump, etc.

When I slap on a 8PSI Vortech, what numbers should I expect. (I am upgrading to 30# injectors, and a 80mm MAF.

BTW: this is all going on my brand new engine with less than 4K miles, I just wanted some input on people who own, or are well educated in blown applications.

425rwhp give or take. Upgrade to a larger than 30lb injector though.

Here's a chart. Figure .55 BSFC for a boosted application. Those are flywheel figures and rated at the industry standard 43.5psi and not factory Ford psi. So at Ford pressure rating the numbers would be lower.
