yea i like to keep them skinny, stupid to go wider. atleast in my opinion, like people say lower profile tires give you better traction, thats bogus bs, i have thicker profile tires my buddy has lower profile, we both have AOD, same mods, and i still take him off start and in long + i dont spin as much as he does. 225/60/15 is what came on it stock i think im going to go back down to 15 so my speedo will be correct again, unless some1 can tell me how to make it correct with me having 16's.

the second number (60) is the aspect ratio of the section width to get sidewall height... ie 60% of 225mm
the third number... obviously... your rim size

if you wanna keep with 225's and run a 16" wheel you will want a:
225/55/16 this puts your overall tire diameter at 25.74"
225/60/15 which is your stock tire has a diameter of 25.62"
this will be the closest match to a stock size tire you can get, since a 225/50/16 is... 24.85"

well the thing is that the way my car looks it wont look good with the weld racing ( if your talking about the thin in front and wide as f@%k in back). i have a dech kit on the car and it would look funny i think. plus i was looking at some nittos and couldnt find a 285. the tire i want is the nt555r2 trie and they dont have a 285 40 17 they only have it in the nt555 tire... also the mickeys E/T are drag radial right..?? if so they wouldnt do to well in rain would they.??
