hey well im looking to get some nice sticky tires. 255-40-17 and 285-40-17...... just wondering if anyone knows of some good tires to get

how much money are you willing to spend???

I have Sumitomo HTR+ 245/45/17 and 275/40/17.... they give horrid grip.... but they do ok in the ****ty weather.. ie. snow and rain

My next set of tires will either be BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW's

well i wouldnt mind spending the money as long as i know im getting a good tire. yeah i was looking at ther BFGoodrich g-Force but i dont know anyone that has had them so i dont know. plus my car is a only summer car so i dont care if it dosnt grip in snow.. im doing up my suspesion but that wont help if i cant get the tires to stick.

how sticky are we talkin?
You could get a set of e/t streets, bfg's or nittos (stickiest to least).......but nittos will stick better than any tire you get at sears or somthing.

i love my nitto drags, they're a good street and strip tire that isnt too expensive, but they dont make em in 285/40s

DAM IT dont make my size.. well i dont want to get e/t street i mean i will be out in the rain somtimes. nittos hmm ill check them out. thanks guys anything eles anyone is running out there?

im going to stick with goodyear, i just like them period, but question me and my dad had this huge argument that the 3 digit number was the profile of the tire and that the 2nd number was the width which i disagreed. like example: P225/60/R16's is what i have on my car now, i said that 225 = the tire width, and 60 = the profile, hes saying that 225 = the profile and 60 = the width? whos wrong and whos right?

225/50/ R15

225 = tire width
50 = tire height (profile)
R15 = Rim size
